31 March 2018 – Google, Mountain View, CA, U.S.A.
The IITMAANA Bay Area Chapter hosted its 2018 Gajendra Circle Conference & Networking Event at the Google campus in Mountain View, CA. This annual, day-long event was attended by around 100 people, including spouses and children, from the IITM Alumni community. The conference had a variety of panels catering to the diverse interests of the Alumni community. New, this year, was the Pitch Perfect segment featuring IITM Alums “pitching” their companies, ideas, and products to the audience. This segment gave the attendees an opportunity to learn about businesses, small and large, in different industries.
A key facet of this event was to allow attendees to network. And, there were plenty of opportunities to do this – in between panels, during lunch, and at the Social Hour (it actually was much longer!) at the end of the day. The TARAMS hangout serving tea, coffee, snacks, and beverages helped set the mood and revive nostalgic memories from life at the IITM campus. Sale of IITM memorabilia was brisk. Overall, it was good to see old friends catching up, and many new friendships being formed.
Here are some PHOTOS taken at the event. And, these are the videos:

Our sincere thanks to the volunteers who helped run the event. Our gratitude to the Organizing Committee – Anish Kadavil, Mohan Kompella, Pradeep Madhavarapu, Shishir Rai, Shoba Sivasankar, and Vaibhav Sharma for their tireless efforts. Finally, we appreciate the support of all the attendees for helping make this event a grand success. We look forward to seeing many more from the IITM Alumni community at future IITMAANA events.

“A trip to nostalgia now and then is good for the spirit.”
You are cordially invited to the IITM Researches Reunion. Join your fellow batchmates as we catch up, reminisce, and create new memories together! This is the first time we want to bring all researchers for a reunion from across all years of graduation. We invite all Ph.D., MS, M.Tech and Post-Docs who had the pleasure of doing research at IITM. This is a celebration of the bond we all have to IITM, that we are bonded by our spirit as seekers of truth, as toilers at the lab, our passion for science and research and most of all in celebration of the strong friendships we built there.
This will also be an opportunity to see the growth of IITM research, innovations, meet with current faculty and researchers and hear about their research pursuits.

The Bay Area’s IITMAANA Chapter had its annual professional conference on Saturday, April 8, at the offices of ServiceNow in Santa Clara, CA. This year’s conference was attended by over 100 people from a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience.
Our Keynote speaker was Mark Fulgham, a prominent figure in the Silicon Valley, and President of NTT Data Inc. While his decades of experience in the IT industry ensured that he has “seen it all”, he was most willing to share his viewpoints on the theme of the conference and other topics. Ashok Santhanam was the host for the Keynote Fireside.

IITMAANA Accomplishments in 2016
We carried forward our momentum from last year and began this year on a promising note by helping the victims of the Chennai Floods, an unfortunate event which took place in November 2015. Your spontaneous and enthusiastic response and contributions made a huge difference in the lives of the victims and also fostered a spirit of unity among the IITMAANA community.
