Be a key part of the growth of IITMAANA.  Create (or revive) a major, minor, IITMAANA chapter in your area, whether you're in the US, Canada,  or Mexico.  Organize chapter events and meet-ups between now and the end of the year. 

Creating and running a chapter requires motivation and leadership.  Leadership is always appreciated by your friends, IITMAANA and your alma mater, IIT Madras. It can take you places.. give you status, recognition, and respect , both in your social circles and profession career.  It gives you personal satisfaction and has benefits and privileges. 

IITMAANA alumni chapters, clubs and shared interest groups can operate under different structures and leadership models. Some chapters or clubs can be run by a single motivated volunteer who is the regional contact in their given area. Other chapters/clubs are more formal organizations, led by a board and elected office bearers, which meet regularly to plan events and meetings.
